Senior Moments

I’m going to skip right over the fact that this is my 2nd post for the YEAR.. And, umm, 2009 is over in just a few days…

My oldest child is a senior this year. I’m proud, very proud that he will be graduating. And it was no easy feat as other parents surely know. There were some bad grades, some forgery incidences, some referrals and some suspensions but overall its turning out okay. THANK GOD. The one thing I do have to say is that making him go to school was never a problem. He loved his friends enough to want to be there but not enough to get good grades some of the time haHA.

Now that we got that out of the way – it’s damned expensive! Between cap/gown, class ring, gradnight, senior pictures, prom… which of course we are already fighting about. He wants me to rent him a hotel room, hells no. And he wants to stay out all night, again, NO.

My daughter on the other hand is a freshman this year so they have been driving together. For the most part it’s great because prior to this year they didn’t get along very well at all. The 3rd grader is doing good and he’s the least of my problems right now which is much appreciated.

I wish I could write about the things that are really on my mind. But I’m afraid the men with the white jackets might come pick me up and never bring me back.
