Can You Hear Me Now?

It’s been interesting around here with the seven-year-old not being able to hear anything. The thing is, I know he really does have fluid on his ears, making it hard for him to hear. BUT, I can also tell that he is now manipulating the situation. Don’t get me wrong, he has always had selective hearing but this is even worse.

Today we had this conversation in the car:

Him: Mom, did the doctor call about my blood yet?

Me: No honey, not yet

Him: Why not? I really need to know whats going on with my blood. This is important stuff.

Me: You are too cute…

Him: I’m not trying to be cute, I’m serious Mom. I want to know about my blood, maybe you should call them.

He’s seven and worried about his “blood” and telling me to call the doctor. Just who is the parent here anyway? Pfft.

Smizzo, thanks :) I hope so too!

Retta, I hadn’t called yet because the doctor warned me that it was going to take 7-10 days for the results. I am out of town right now so I will check with them when I get back ;)
