Double Digits

In true Chrissie fashion I am late posting this, as in, it should have been posted on April 15th. In my defense I have been sick and working like crazy to catch up, with no energy so I forgot it was in draft mode. Ok, moving right along.

This is Aashley, she just turned 10! Holy COW double digits here we come! I have been teasing her about reaching the double digits and she very nicely said to me, “Aunt Chrissie, stop it! You’re making me feel old!”

But I can’t help it, I am the one that feels old! I spent many a weekend with her back in my single days. I had to cancel going to her birthday party this weekend because I was feeling so crappy. So her gifts are sitting here wrapped and waiting and it sucks not being around the block anymore…

I love ALL my nieces and nephews, but she was my first niece and I have such a soft spot for her I can’t begin to tell you. She is beautiful, funny, sarcastic, creative and so many other things. I see a lot of myself in her, it must drive my sister CRAZY, hehe.

My own kids are 16, 14 and 7 - where does the time go? Lately it really feels like time is flying by. Happy very late Birthday to my Niece that I love and Adore.

In other news, I’m going to live :) I go back to the doctor tomorrow to officially talk to her, but it’s not what they thought. Apparently I have sinus disease and I just finished my shitty antibiotics thank god. I still feel crappy, cranky, tired and headachey, but I think I am learning to live with it. But I assure you I am still charming ;)

Thank you to everyone for their thoughts, comments and emails. I appreciate it more than you know.

Poor Tequila

He has a bite on his paw that he has turned into a big bloody, infected mess so we had to get him this delightful collar.

Can I just tell you that he is scraping the shit out of my walls with this collar? Yea, yea I feel bad for him and all, but its a major pain in the ass. I can hear him smacking his head into everything. I think he’s trying to get it off. He’s that smart.

Thankfully giving him his antibiotics are easy because he loves cheese and peanut butter.

I feel like CRAP today. I some how managed 45 minutes on the treadmill. I am pretty sure I have a sinus infection with a sinus headache the size of the Good Year Blimp (which I have been on before, because I’m cool ;). I have a heaping stack of work and laundry to do. My to-do-list is eight miles long and I just want to curl up with a good book but, its not gonna happen.

Crazy Train

Oh how I have missed this blog and my friends!

The past few weeks have been busy, busy, busy! Everytime I start to write here I get annoyed by the design and I procrastinate (so unlike me, I know). So, tonight I decided to do a post and over the weekend come up with a new theme or buy one - something new.

The seven-year-old had surgery last Tuesday. He had his adenoids removed and tubes put in both of his ears. The first day was a little stressful on both of us. The morning of the surgery I didn’t eat anything because the little guy couldn’t have anything. But I did have my coffee ;) Long story short while visiting him in recovery, I nearly passed out. Talk about scary, thank god the Man noticed I didn’t look so good and the nurse caught my arm. She put me in a chair with some good ole’ OJ and a cookie.

That night I got the *worst* migraine I have had in a long time. Migraine auras included, talk about timing. Needless to stay we both stayed in bed all day and napped and watched movies. By the next day we were both back to normal. And we had a good time feeling miserable together LOL

On Sunday the teenager turned 16!! Holy shit where does the time go?! He had a nice birthday - time with friends and family. My parents were here for the weekend which was great. The Girl managed to get herself into a boat load of trouble, but of course. While talking to my best friend yesterday and venting about it, she reminded me that I was worse. Pfft, I don’t think so, she can bite me ;)

I have so much going on in every aspect of my life that I can’t even begin to get into. Trust me, you should be thanking me. Let’s just say some of it is very good - some is stressful and some - is what it is…

The Man went to the doctor yesterday and he’s falling apart I tell ya. I need to up his life insurance policy ;) Has has some tests he needs to have done and blood work - all that great stuff. But nothing appears to be too extremely worrisome, thankfully.

I need to get a ton of work done tonight and I am feeling unmotivated. I want to read, not work. And I am watching Celebrity Apprentice. Tomorrow I am heading down to Fort Lauderdale for the weekend. Lots to do. This was a lame post, I promise to write a better one over the weekend and I will hopefully be sporting a new design.
